Robot Anime (ロボットアニメ) is animation in which robots are the main focus of the story.

Overview

Robot anime (ロボットアニメ) refers to animation in which robots are the main characters or in which robots play a central role.

When referring to robot anime, however, 'robots' are often thought of as giant humanoid machines that are ridden and controlled by people (so-called giant robots). For this reason, it is considered questionable whether "Doraemon", for example, is included in the category of robot anime even though it features a robot as the protagonist.
